Join us as we discuss the basics regarding Family Offices. This session is a precurser to the May 23 Family Office Symposium for those that are not familiar with these businesses and/or those looking for a refresher.

Speaker Biography: 
Brett Scola, CPA/PFS, CFP®, serves as RSM US LLP's family office leader of the Washington metro and Baltimore markets. The enterprise team collaborates cross line of business to bring solutions to single, multi and virtual family offices and assists families through all stages of the family office lifecycle including creation, sustainability and restructuring.

Brett has worked in the professional and financial services industry for more than 25 years, advising family offices, affluent families, and privately owned businesses. Brett has extensive experience in advance federal and state income tax compliance and planning, family succession, governance and education planning and all aspects of family wealth creation and preservation.

Before joining RSM, Brett was a senior tax and wealth advisor at multi-family offices, wealth management firms and a global CPA firm.
