POSTPONED: Best Practices When Working with LGBTQ+ Clients
In this session, Mr. Jacobs will offer strategic insights on culturally-sensitive ways to deal with clients who come from the LGBT community, ranging from initial intake differences, to discussions with clients about their objectives, and ultimately to the way documents might be drafted. He also will talk about reasons to encourage LGBT individuals and couples to include charitable bequests in their estate plan and ways to address their philanthropic goals through planned giving. Mr. Jacobs will interweave anecdotes from his more than twenty-five years of experience providing legal and estate-planning advice to both traditional and same-sex couples.
