Program Description and Benefits:
Fred and Angel will explore the integration of AI in the traditionally human-centric fields of estate planning and family offices. Generative Artifical Intelligence (GenAI) is a groundbreaking technology, enabling advisors to streamline complex tasks such as estate summarization, document drafting, and client communications. While GenAI offers immense potential for efficiency, our panelists also discuss the critical importance of data privacy, the need for human oversight, and the irreplaceable value of personal client relationships.
Speaker Biographies:
Fredrick B. Weber, Esq. is a Chicago-based Counsel at ArentFox Schiff, where his practice primarily focuses on representing individual and professional fiduciaries on post death administration matters along with helping individuals and families to better prepare for post death administration well before a death occurs. Prior to returning to private law practice, Fred spent 18 years working as a professional fiduciary, first at the JPMorgan Private Bank and most recently with Northern Trust Wealth Management. As a professional fiduciary, Fred focused on guiding families, beneficiaries, and co-fiduciaries through the process of post-death administration of estates and trusts. In addition to his work as a professional fiduciary, Fred has worked in planned giving and charitable bequest administration for a large public charity. He also served for several years as an adjunct professor at John Marshall (now UIC) Law School, where he taught a full semester course on postmortem administration of estates and trusts.
Angelica F. Russell-Johnson, Esq. is an associate in the Private Clients, Trusts and Estates practice at ArentFox Schiff. Angel advises clients on a broad range of estate planning issues with a focus on charitable gift planning and building a philanthropic legacy. Angel routinely navigates the probate and estate administration process, working alongside families and appraisers to value unique or illiquid assets. Angel's background in nonprofit arts administration informs her understanding of the charitable sector and the complexities of tax-exempt entity formation, governance, compliance, and dissolution.
